Purposes for Processing Personal Data

Special Purpose Declaration

We declare Special Purpose Declaration 2: legitimate interest as the legal basis. Special Purpose Declaration 2 helps ensure technical compatibility and facilitates the transmission of the advertising unit to end-user devices.

Legitimate Interest Assessment

We have done a thorough Legitimate Interest Assessment (LIA) for the processing of personal data related to the above purposes. This assessment has confirmed that our legitimate interests do not override our interests and fundamental rights. LIAs are available upon request.

Data Categories

We collect and process the following categories of data: devices technical information, approximate location, advertisement performance metrics, and technical performance of content. This information is stored using pseudo-anonymised code for device browsers.

We have taken measures to assure the security, integrity, and confidentiality of your data. In order to achieve this we have put in place different technical and organizational measures that we constantly review in order to keep them up to date to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, or unauthorized destruction of the data.

Connected Stories adheres to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of the European Union. Although it was adopted by the European Union, it imposes obligations on organizations everywhere in the world, as long as they target or collect data relating to people in the EU. We work constantly to make sure we follow all the requirements of the GDPR.

We have a Data Protection Officer (DPO) to oversee our GDPR compliance and to serve as a point of contact for supervisory authorities and data subjects in case of questions or concerns about our processing of personal data.
